NGIS Australia recently announced that it has secured the Platinum sponsorship at this year’s WALIS Forum – Western Australian’s premier Spatial Information Conference and the 2013 WA Spatial Excellence Awards (WASEA) to be held on November 7-8 2013 at Crown Perth.

According to NGIS Australia’s executive director, Richard Bentley, the theme of this year’s Forum – Integrate, Transform, Grow – encapsulates NGIS’ philosophy on how the team works with their clients across government and the private sector.

“NGIS has been a long-time supporter of the WALIS Forum. We are proud to support the WALIS Forum as the naming rights sponsor this year.

“We believe this year’s forum provides NGIS and the entire spatial industry with the opportunity to show-case innovative location-based technologies, how they integrate with existing systems, and how they become the foundation for an organisation’s growth – transforming the way they do business, “said Mr Bentley.

Damian Shepherd, director said, “WALIS is excited to confirm NGIS as Platinum Sponsors for WALIS Forum 2013. NGIS have always been strong supporters of the WALIS partnership across the public and private sectors”

Mr Shepherd added, “The WALIS Community is looking forward to the event in November, and that through the support of key sponsors including NGIS, Landgate, SIBA and the SSSI, will be bringing a fantastic line-up of speakers to Perth.”

To further support this year’s WALIS Forum NGIS Australia is planning to host the inaugural “Google Maps User Forum” on November 6 at Crown Burswood. This seminar will be bring together industry’s leading Google Maps users, International Google Maps experts, and independent senior spatial analysts to provide a platform of information and technology sharing along with hands-on demonstrations.
