Locate 14 highlights – win a free registration

Locate14 will be held at the National Convention Centre

The plenary program for Locate14 is now complete, with Daniel Chu, group product manager, Google Maps confirmed.

Daniel oversees Google’s efforts to enable businesses, government agencies, and non-profits to use Google’s mapping technologies through the Google Maps APIs and Maps for Business mobile apps which are used by over one million sites. Most recently, he launched Google Maps Coordinate, a tool for organisations to efficiently manage mobile teams.

In addition to Daniel Chu, the conference will feature many other speakers from a number of different industries, including:

  • The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, Minister for Communications
  • Hon Maurice Williamson, Minister for Land Information, New Zealand
  • Drew Clarke PSM, Secretary, Department of Communications
  • Susan Harris, Chief Executive Officer, ITS Australia

With recent additions including:

  • Lieutenant Peter Waring, Officer in Charge Deployable Geospatial Support Team, Royal Australian Navy who will present: Hydrographic Survey of the Immediate Approaches to Antarctica’s Casey Research Station by Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) Deployable Geospatial Support Team
  • Mick Rose, Surveyor, Tasmania on Elevating the Public Perception of the Professional Land Surveyor
  • And more!
