3 April: DMOESD/RFT0001/2012; Deployable Tactical Navigation Systems – Acquisition and Support. Defence Materiel Organisation – Office of Special Counsel.

The Commonwealth seeks to procure five Deployable Tactical Navigation (DTACAN)  Systems with Support for the Royal Australian Air Force. The DTACAN capability will provide:

a)      a TACAN navigation aid that can be operated, without additional equipment, at a remote site or fixed airfield (e.g. ADF fixed bases);

b)      a deployable capability that can be transported by air, land or sea; and

c)       the ability to remotely monitor and control the D-TACAN Mission System.

9 April: RFT2014/679; Request for Tender (RFT) for the Supply of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Record and Playback System. Geoscience Australia.

This procurement is for the supply of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Record and Playback System and accessories as part of Geoscience Australia’s obligation to the AuScope funded AGOS Program. The preferred tenderer will supply the equipment to Geoscience Australia over the proposed contract term by 30 June 2014.

15 April: DMP110214; Provision of Geological & Geophysical Interpretation and Modelling. Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum.

The Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) is seeking a multi-disciplinary group with sub-surface skill sets to: Undertake an interpretation of the 3D seismic data currently being acquired in Harvey; provide support through reservoir model building and updating of the South West Hub Project in the southern Perth Basin; and provide on-going sub-surface and engineering  technical support.

The selected organisation (or organisations) will provide technical support to the South West Hub Project team in sub-surface domains such as geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, geomechanics, well testing, hydrogeology, model building, uncertainty analysis and risk evaluation.  Existing geological models of the area have been developed in Petrel with simulation models developed in Eclipse.  Availability or access to these licences, or conversion to a different platform, will be required.
