GeoSmart India returns in 2023 for its 23rd iteration, with a theme of ‘Geospatial Infrastructure and Digital Twins: Powering National Economy’.
This year, the focus will be on strengthening India’s ambition of becoming a trillion-dollar economy. Geospatial infrastructure and digital twins will play a pivotal role in empowering the nation’s economy, enabling measurement of what can be seen in order to make better decisions across all major sectors.
The Geospatial Council of Australia invites industry members to participate in the special South Australian Geospatial Excellence Awards reception on Friday, 27 October 2023, in the Riverbank Rooms at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
With no Spatial Information Day this year due to Locate23 being held in Adelaide, this event will be held to announce the 2023 South Australia award winners, whilst also showcasing some of last year’s incredible winning projects.
The evening will be an opportunity for networking with colleagues old and new, and for celebration of the local geospatial industry.

The Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW) 2024 Annual Conference will be held over two days in February in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW.
Presented as a hybrid event, attendees will have the choice to join online or in person. Speakers will present on a wide range of topics, giving delegates the chance to hear from the industry’s best and network with them.
The event is open to ISNSW members as well as non-members.
The not-to-be-missed Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA) WA Digital Twin Symposium will be held on 14 March in Perth, giving geospatial professionals a chance to learn about the latest developments in this important field.

The not-to-be-missed Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA) South Australia Cadastral Workshop, to be held in Adelaide on 16 March, will bring together professionals in the field of land surveying and provide an opportunity for them to expand their knowledge of the complexities of cadastral surveying.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity for professionals in the field of land surveying to gather and expand their knowledge in the complexities of cadastral surveying. Participants will hear expert-led discussions into topics ranging from advanced surveying techniques to legal frameworks governing land boundaries, and gain invaluable insights to enhance their expertise and address the challenges of modern cadastral surveying practices.

The 2024 annual conference of the Association of Public Authority Surveyors, NSW (APAS) will be held at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra, from 18 to 20 March 2024. The theme of the conference will be ‘Pushing the Boundaries’.
The Call for Abstracts is now open, with the following deadlines set:
- Abstract submission deadline: Friday, 22 September 2023
- Draft paper deadline: Friday, 17 November 2023

The Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS) Mudgee Regional Seminar will be held at Parklands Resort, Mudgee, NSW, on 22 March 2024. There will also be an optional dinner at a local brewery the evening prior.

The New Zealand: Digital Twin 2024 Summit will explore the roadmap of digital twin systems and their impact on each stage of a project, and explore the core values, challenges and opportunities unique to the priorities of New Zealand and how digital twins can deliver them.
The event will feature real stories of success and failure, research insights, and focus not just on what has already happened but also on the potential of digital twins and where key opportunities for timely innovation appear to be.
Delegates will hear from technical experts, industry leaders and researchers in an experience designed to support the development of a dynamic and scalable digital twin ecosystem in New Zealand.
The International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Working Week 2024 will be held in Accra, Ghana, from 19 to 24 May. The event is being held in cooperation with the two national associations: the Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LiSAG) and the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS).
The event will comprise the following:
