Geocoded addressing will continue to be a significant asset as we move to a digital economy. The CRCSI has been commissioned to review the supply chain to analyse the processes that take place and look at ways in which these could be optimised to provide the best possible end products. Kylie will present on the key findings from the review and discuss a range of initiatives that have been identified.

This will cover the integration of Semantic Web, Supply Chains and Artificial Intelligence research. He will also outline future directions and how the landscape is changing.

Dr Lesley Arnold

Research Fellow, Program 3, Department of Spatial Sciences, CRC for Spatial Information

Lesley’s research is developing a model that encapsulates the multifaceted nature of spatial data supply chains.  Her aim is to improve the logistical management of data, increase productivity and realise value creation opportunities for the industry. She will describe how the National Supply Chain Framework (NSCF) will guide the collective effort of all participants to better meet the needs of the community for real-time nationwide spatial information.

Dr David McMeekin

Research Fellow, Program 3, CRC for Spatial Information

David’s research is aimed at discovering and developing ways and methods to deliver spatially enabled data in real time to the end user. This research is developing new semantic web technologies and artificial intelligence in conjunction with existing ones so that the end user receives the relevant data in an appropriate timeframe with new knowledge embedded into it. He will detail how the different technologies are being applied.
