The Institution of Surveyors NSW’s annual conference is back and will be moving around the state, starting in 2023 in Newcastle.
Not only is the location changing, but also the date, having been moved out of school holidays to allow more flexibility for parents.

The Country Surveyors Association of NSW Easter Conference 2023 will be held at the Novotel Sydney Central in Haymarket, Sydney, on 23 and 24 March 2023.
The annual conference is well attended by many surveyors, both members and non-members of the Association. Over the past 40 years have been held as far west as Broken Hill and Deniliquin, north to Armidale and Port Macquarie, south to Albury and Wagga Wagga and more centrally at places like Orange, Katoomba, Gosford and Nowra. RPAS in Australia Skies is back for 2023. The conference is the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems’ (AAUS) main event for the year and has established itself as a landmark event for the Australian drone industry, drawing interest from key government personnel, representatives from the regulatory and safety bodies, defence force, RPAS and UTM representatives, end users and academia.
The hybrid event will take place over two days and will include a combination of presentations and interactive panel discussions.

INTERGEO returns for 2023 with the motto, ‘Inspiration for a smarter world,’ with the event this year also incorporating the German Cartography Congress.
The conference and exhibition will cover the topics of geoinformation, geodesy, land management, Earth observation, urban planning, disaster prevention, environmental protection and energy efficiency, while tackling challenges such as the climate crisis, urbanisation and securing resources.
This year, there will be a special emphasis on drone technologies and BIM.
The Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW) 2024 Annual Conference will be held over two days in February in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW.
Presented as a hybrid event, attendees will have the choice to join online or in person. Speakers will present on a wide range of topics, giving delegates the chance to hear from the industry’s best and network with them.
The event is open to ISNSW members as well as non-members.

The 3rd International Land Management Conference, hosted by the University of the West of England, will be held online on 14 and 15 March 2024. The event will bring together experts and professionals in land management to discuss inclusive land tenure, efficient land markets, sector reform and innovations in land research.
The conference will focus on four themes:
- Theme 1: Can we build more inclusive and resilient land tenure systems by understanding social value and climate change?
- Theme 2: How can land administration systems contribute to efficient and equitable land markets?
- Theme 3: What approaches can Development Partners use to help achieve more successful Land Administration sector reform?
- Theme 4: LINK – Early Career Professionals and Junior Researchers – Innovations in Land Research and Practice
The conference is organised by LINK, the Land–International Network for Knowledge — a network of academic organisations, professional practice and development partners, as well as public and private sector country partners — in association with the University of the West of England.
The 2024 annual conference of the Association of Public Authority Surveyors, NSW (APAS) will be held at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra, from 18 to 20 March 2024. The theme of the conference will be ‘Pushing the Boundaries’.
The Call for Abstracts is now open, with the following deadlines set:
- Abstract submission deadline: Friday, 22 September 2023
- Draft paper deadline: Friday, 17 November 2023
- Final paper deadline: Friday, 19 January 2024
