The FIG Congress — the largest and most prestigious conference of surveying and geospatial professionals — will this year be held in Poland.
The organisers are expecting an attendance of 1,000 to 1,500 surveying and geospatial experts from all over the world.
This year the local host is the Association of Polish Surveyors, and the conference theme is ‘Volunteering for the future – Geospatial excellence for a better living’. The 2023 Disaster & Emergency Management Conference (DEMC) will be held from 11 to 12 July 2023 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
The DEMC brings together a cross sector mix of Australian & New Zealand defence, emergency services, business and community services at a leadership level to zone in on the current challenges and trends of the sector, in order to promote inter-agency collaboration and unity.
Over two full days, the DEMC will explore topics such as:

- Applying the learnings from the past to create meaningful change for the future.
- Inter-agency and volunteer cooperation and knowledge sharing.

Delegates will hear the leaders in the field discuss these topics plus learn the latest innovations, research findings, current challenges and future predictions so that prevention, preparedness, response and recovery strategies are as strong as they need to be.
The Institute of Navigation’s (ION) mid-year meeting, the International Technical Meeting (ITM), is a conference with a technical program related to positioning, navigation and timing and includes the ION Fellows and Annual Awards presentations.
In 2024, ITM will take place in Long Beach, California, January 22 – 25, 2024, and will be co-located with the Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications Meeting.
A commercial exhibition and pre-conference tutorials will be held in conjunction with the conference.
