During 2020 an expert group drafted the SPACE+SPATIAL Industry Growth Roadmap 2030 – a national snapshot for Australian professionals to better understand the bold new future that’s rapidly approaching and what it means for them, their careers, their organisations and all of Australia.
The National Steering Committee is seeking feedback on the Roadmap from spatial professionals of all levels across the country. There are a number of ways to get involved, one of which is to participate in this SSSI and SIBA|GITA SPACE+SPATIAL Roadmap Online Session.
You will hear about the key plans, activities and issues and have the opportunity to have a meaningful discussion with colleagues about your thoughts on the Roadmap Consultation Paper and the topic in general.
The ROTORTECH 2022 Helicopter and Unmanned Flight Exposition is the premier industry event for the Helicopter/Rotary Wing and RPAS/UAV/eVTOL community in Australia, New Zealand and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
The event provides a vital interface between industry, regulators and government, including:
- Operations and safety presentations
- Industry conferences
- Industry exposition showcasing the products and services of helicopter and unmanned flight related companies
ROTORTECH 2022 will host conferences by the Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA) and Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems (AAUS) and feature presentations by key rotary and unmanned systems industry experts from Australia and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
The 2022 Tasmania Surveying & Spatial Conference will be held on Friday, 2 September at Wrest Point in Hobart, and promises to be a fantastic opportunity to learn and network with SSSI members and the broader surveying and spatial community.
This year’s event will include a gala dinner, held in partnership with the University of Tasmania, to celebrate that institution’s 50 years in the field of surveying and spatial teaching.
In addition, the event will include the presentation of the 2022 Tasmanian Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards.

The 2023 Tasmanian Geospatial Conference & Awards Reception will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Hobart on 1 September 2023, where delegates will hear the latest news from across the local geospatial industry, including presentations on cadastral surveying, GIS, education and more.
Immediately following the conference will be the Geospatial Excellence Awards Reception, where all attendees will have the chance to enjoy drinks and canapes whilst networking and celebrating the local winners.

BeGeo, an initiative of the Belgian National Geographical Institute (NGI), is an annual national event for the geo sector in Belgium.
The BeGeo conference combines with a geographic information fair to bring together a wide range of players from the public sector, academia, research, the private sector and associations. This year, the organisers have once again chosen Brussels Expo as the location for the event.
BeGeo says its vision is to be a platform where important players from the sector meet and thus actively contribute to the growth of the knowledge and competences necessary to tackle complex challenges and realise the great potential of geodata.
