Upcoming event: GIS in engineering

By on 9 August, 2011

Are you a spatial professional contributing on engineering projects? SSSI would like to hear from you.

Planning is underway to organise an event to bring spatial and engineering professionals together to discuss collaborative projects and demonstrate examples of best practice.

An interesting agenda is being compiled though there are few speaker slots left.

You will see demonstrations of best practice and innovation regarding GIS, and learn about the potential benefits GIS and spatial data has when integrated into Engineering projects, such as asset management, near-surface mapping, surface and 3D models and using maps and imagery in the presentation of projects.

The workshop will cover:
What is GIS and how it integrates an engineering project.
Near surface mapping and radar.
Imagery and LiDAR.
Asset management
