Topcon has announced a return to the MAGNET brand name for its Office and Field software, and released the latest v2026.0 version.
For users of the MAGNET Office suite, v2026.0 offers many new features and improvements, including:
- An AI-powered chatbot that can provide immediate, context-aware assistance within the application;
- A twist screen function that enables the user to change the orientation so that north is no longer the top of the screen;
- A search context menu, in which the user can enter the name of a routine option to find and run;
- A spell check feature that can work on text entities in a project; and
- ADAC upgrades that can highlight and pan to selected objects and report feature added.
The improvements for the MAGNET Field suite also include the AI chatbot, plus:
- Voice command that supports hands-free operations e.g. store point, ok, cancel, next point;
- Automatic offset lines to simplify field workflows by automatically measuring multiple lines at a specified offset distance;
- Real time connection to ArcGIS online to easily store points in a project and load background data; and
- GNSS smart functions that detect multipath and tree canopy conditions, recommend optimal settings, and a Smart Dashboard with key indicators such as solar activity, K-index and GNSS status.
