The company plans to accelerate survey-grade drone data delivery time to as little as minutes, using AI.
Drone as a Service (DaaS) and AI company, ZenaTech, has unveiled plans for a proprietary AI software suite and integration across its DaaS land survey operations.
By pairing ZenaDrone high-density LiDAR data acquisition with the automated feature extraction and point cloud classification, the company plans to accelerate survey-grade data delivery time from days to as little as minutes across commercial land surveying and infrastructure projects.
The combined platform is currently in the development and testing stage.
“Land survey delivery has traditionally been limited by manual post-processing, which caps how many projects a survey team can complete,” said Shaun Passley, CEO of ZenaTech.
“By integrating our AI software directly into ZenaDrone DaaS operations, we aim to automate the heavily manual work of point cloud classification and CAD linework generation, so the same crews and drones can deliver turn-key, actionable intelligence to clients faster and with consistent quality.
“As we apply our AI suite across our AI tools growing network of DaaS subsidiaries, we believe it can improve operating efficiency and support the scalable, recurring revenue model at the centre of our DaaS strategy.”
The combined platform is designed to bridge hardware data collection with AI-driven point cloud processing. Once the LiDAR has created the point cloud, ZenaAI wil then run automated workflows, classifying each point by what it represents and converting the data into terrain models and vector drawings, removing noise and tagging infrastructure assets.
ZenaTech brings its DaaS to Australia
Earlier this year, ZenaTech acquired Brisbane-based land surveying and spatial services firm NorthGroup Consulting, which has offices in Gladstone and on the Sunshine Coast.
This marked ZenaTech’s 22nd DaaS acquisition and its first major expansion into Australia.
“Australia represents a strategically important market itself with strong long-term demand across infrastructure, public works, and resource-driven industries including mining, energy, and related sectors,” said Shaun Passley, CEO of ZenaTech.
“Strategically, it also expands ZenaTech’s access into the Asia-Pacific corridor, which provides the potential to significantly expand our global footprint.
“This transaction supports our long-term vision of building a scalable AI autonomy platform through DaaS, digitising and improving legacy services with our drones, in a technology-led business through disciplined execution, while advancing long-term shareholder value.”
