Spatial Excellence Awards in NSW

By on 28 June, 2011

Nominations for the SPatial Excellence Awards close 15 August 2011. Winners announced 26 August 2011.

WHEN: 2011-08-26 to 2011-08-26
WHERE:
STATE: NSW
COUNTRY: AUS

Over the past seven years, the NSW Spatial Excellence Awards were part and parcel of the NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards, which were jointly run by the Consulting Surveyors NSW (CS NSW) and the Institution of Surveyors NSW and supported by SIBA.

However, CS NSW has resolved to terminate its agreement with SIBA to hold a joint awards event in NSW in which the broader spatial industries could come together as one. This means that the winners of the industry project entries in the NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards will no longer be eligible to be judged in the industry project categories of the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards against their peers in other states.

However, SIBA is providing a mechanism for NSW surveying and other spatial companies and organisations to lodge their projects for consideration as NSW Award Winners in the various industry project categories that have been established by APSEA.

SIBA is providing an opportunity for any NSW organisation (private business, government agency, local council or education establishment) to enter their industry category projects for consideration by a panel of independent experts, irrespective of their standing in any other NSW award event. This process will
determine the NSW winners of the various industry project categories that will enable entry to the Industry Project Categories in the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards.

Entries to the NSWSEA must be lodged with the SIBA CEO no later than the COB 15 August 2011. Winners will be announced on 26 August 2011.
Follow instructions in the Entry Form available from the SIBA’s Web Site at  www.spatialbusiness.org or contact the SIBA CEO at dhocking@spatialbusiness.org.
