The Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA) is looking to appoint a chief executive officer to support and drive new growth. SIBA is committed to working with Government and Academia to build a more innovative, entrepreneurial and prosperous Australia.
SIBA’s executive director Kellee Ireland said the appointment is the next step in enabling SIBA to reach its potential: “The Board recognises that it is time to establish the concrete steps that will lead the Association to reach its highest level of success and potential,” Ireland said.
“The new CEO will hold the vision of the Association and keep the team motivated and on task.”
The position is advertised on various forums including Seek, where it describes the desired candidate as having “strategic vision, leadership and energy, and a successful track record in organisational development and management.”
The role will involve the management and development of all human and financial resources, and also the provision of the strategic planning and marketing activities necessary to meet SIBA’s objectives. This involves delivering a range of business services and products in support of the sector’s activities, which include remote sensing, surveying, mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), GPS/GNSS technologies, location intelligence, and spatial visualisation.
Working location and hours are flexible, however it is preferred that the incumbent be located in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne.
