Nigeria Satellite Launch

Nigeria is set to launch two satellites on 29 October.
 
The NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X craft are being designed to provide high resolution maps of Nigeria every four months, monthly monitoring of Nigerian crops for food supply security, and support the development of the Nigerian national geographical information system with high quality geospatial data.
 
The Surrey Satellite Technology designed satellites will be launched from Yasny, Russia.
