Map Info Forum 2014

Dates for the 2014 MapInfo Forum have been announced, with the event running in Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

The forums in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne will run across three streams: desktop solutions; web & server solutions; and data & analytics. Other cities’ streams are soon to be announced.

Desktop solutions

Are you a MapInfo Professional, Engage, or Discover user looking to get more out of your software? Do you know the application can do more but you don’t know where to start? Are you interested in seeing how others have applied the software to solve real world problems?

Hear from a number of speakers across a range of industries on how they are using MapInfo desktop products to address business problems faced by their organisation. We’ve selected speakers who will cover a diverse range of topics that showcase innovative uses of MapInfo solutions.

Web & Server solutions

Do you need to easily share and publish maps with colleagues, customers or citizens? Would you like to spatially enable your organisation? Do you want to embed location into core business systems and processes? Are you looking to use the cloud but don’t know where to start? Do you want to integrate location intelligence with your BI tool to provide a spatial dashboard?

In this stream we’ll look at how different organisations have embraced the power of web, server, cloud and enterprise GIS solutions to spatially enable their entire organisation. This session will help you to take your GIS out of the back room and spatially enable the entire enterprise. We’ll hear from organisations that have successfully implemented enterprise location intelligence solutions.

Data & Analytics

Do you have data management challenges? Do you have lots and lots of data but don’t know what to do with it and how best to manage it? Do you need more data but don’t know where to start? Do you want to do more analysis with the spatial data you have?

This stream will help you to better manage your valuable spatial data assets and ensure you’re doing the right analysis to provide the best return possible to your business. We’ll hear from organisations that are using spatial data in innovative ways and will showcase solutions ranging from metadata and data management solutions through to demographic, site selection and analytical tools.

There are a few special offers available to registered attendees of the MapInfo Forum, including a discount for training or an upgrade to MapInfo Professional. This offer expires June 30th, though, so hurry to take advantage of it.

SSSI Members who attend a MapInfo Forum 2014 event during August earn 3 CPD points.
