VANZI 2014

This year, the VANZI Conference is being run in conjunction with buildingSMART Australasia and the Spatial Industry Business Association (QLD). The conference uniquely brings together spatial & building information modelling and legal & security professionals to formulate a path towards a new paradigm: ‘The Digital Built Environment.’

Such an environment can be defined as: “a federated and fully-integrated secure 3D+ computer model of the physical attributes and legal entitlements relating to the natural and built environment (inside and out, above and below ground) on all scales required for decision making – as it changes over time.”

It is aimed at senior management along with technical specialists from the private sector and local, state and federal governments.

The conference aims to educate decision makers about the value of building information modelling (BIM) as a technology and business process designed to solve the problem of ‘co-ordination’ for the design and construction (D&C) of new buildings.
