Faster gridding in new Surfer release

By on 15 April, 2020

The newest version of the Surfer 2D and 3D modelling packages feature revised workflows and a suite of enhancements to core functions of the tool.

The newest release represents a series of key upgrades to the veteran modelling package, according to its creators, Golden Software.

Among the revises features are easier base map editing, new colour transparencies, a pull-down convertible scale bar, new abilities to apply actions to multiple layers, multi action support and a new 3D exporting function for inserting outputs into presentations and other applications.

“We have simplified workflows by making many of the most popular Surfer mapping processes more intuitive,” said Kari Dickenson, Surfer Product Manager. “By deleting steps and reducing mouse clicks, we have shaved valuable minutes off the time it takes to complete many functions.”

In addition to the new release of Surfer, its 100,000-strong user base will gain access to pre-release features being tested in Surfer Beta, according to Golden.
