GeoNext 2015 call for papers

After wowing audiences in Sydney for the previous three years, GeoNext Conference will move to Melbourne for 2015.

GeoNext brings together some of the best geospatial minds in Australia to mingle with those developing and building services around sensor networks, the ‘internet of things’, intelligent transport systems, and other next-gen technologies.

Location is playing a critical role in many future-facing technologies, including UAVs (aka drones), 3D laser scanning, virtual and augmented reality, and self-driving cars.

But what are the issues that we need to overcome before they can become mainstream?

What role does location information have in future Smart Cities?

How will ubiquitous hyper local sensorisation of the real world and the ‘internet of things’ leverage location?

What does the growing popularity of drones mean for high fidelity data collection and use, and what privacy issues are they unravelling?

How can hardware and software developers best collaborate with geospatial experts to get the most out of location data?
