Fraser Coast drone show unveils new speaker

A week ahead of the June 19 event, organisers of the Fraser Coast Drones and Innovation Showcase have introduced a new speaker and sponsor.

The CSIRO’s Dr. Yuri Shendryk joins the line up for the session on ‘Innovative Deployment of Drones in Business’.

As a postdoctoral fellow at CSIRO, Dr. Shendryk develops algorithms to process terabytes of satellite and airborne data. He joied the agency with a background in geospatial engineering in Ukraine, Sweden and Germany with research focused on remote sensing and machine learning for forest health monitoring and precision agriculture applications.

The organisers have also welcomed independent engineering and systems technologies company IDS Australasia as sponsors for the event, a firm that generates research and develops products in air traffic management, electromagnetic engineering, unmanned systems and avionics, with a thematic focus on UAVs for agricultural applications.

Half- and full-day registrations for the event in Maryborough, Queensland event are still available.
