ROTORTECH 2018 was an unprecedented success, attracting 95 exhibitors, including three days of conferences with 30 speakers across some 22 sessions on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Dramatic growth in demand for the event has prompted a move to the Royal International Convention Centre at Brisbane Showgrounds as a larger, more easily accessible venue with world class facilities, helicopter access and external flying demonstrations and networking.

Michael Finlay is a Geospatial Engineer who specialises in 3D laser scanning and point cloud technologies. He is an early career professional who has been working at Jacobs for 8 years and is passionate about all things 3D laser scanning, especially mobile laser scanning (MLS). Michael is a trail blazer in developing the digital data team and discipline at Jacobs as not only a real value add, efficiency but product and service enricher for the surveying team. He gets involved with the planning, scanning, processing, adjusting, classifying, extracting, automation, analysis, visualisation and supports the interfaces of surveying and digital engineering and GIS environments for stakeholders from a broad variety of disciplines.

The 42nd Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing will be a virtual event that will bring together academics, practitioners, vendors and policymakers from the remote sensing community in an informative and productive four-day event under the theme of Understanding Our World: Remote Sensing For A Sustainable Future. It fill have special sessions, general sessions, keynotes, panel discussions and workshops featuring speakers from around the world. Attendees will enjoy both technical sessions and networking opportunities online.
A panel of data and industry experts will examine changes to IP and copyright and the disruption of current business models that current and future technologies are creating, with an open discussion about governance considerations that may affect surveying businesses now and in the coming years. The Institute of Navigation’s (ION) mid-year meeting, the International Technical Meeting (ITM), is a conference with a technical program related to positioning, navigation and timing and includes the ION Fellows and Annual Awards presentations.
In 2024, ITM will take place in Long Beach, California, January 22 – 25, 2024, and will be co-located with the Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications Meeting.
A commercial exhibition and pre-conference tutorials will be held in conjunction with the conference.
