The Australasian Hydrographic Society NZ Region, in conjunction with the Space & Spatial New Zealand Hydrography Stream, are holding a 1-day seminar on Friday, 8 July 2022 at the Miramar Golf Club, Wellington.
The seminar will align closely with the IHO’s World Hydrography Day theme “Hydrography – contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade”.
Smart Cities Week Australia and New Zealand 2022 will bring together the who’s-who in smart cities, digital twins and future-of-place thought leadership in an energising, open dialogue on how to leverage technology to deliver better quality of life for citizens.
Smart Cities Week offers sessions designed to bring demand and supply side stakeholders together in a way that incubates business opportunities and incubates the smart cities investment pipeline.
This year, the event will be delivered in conjunction with Digital Twin Week, known as the premier platform for showcasing, exchanging and networking around all things Digital Twin in the built and natural environment. The event will offer a series of opportunities to connect and gain information and insights on Digital Twin activity, policy and practice from government and industry leaders.
Leading the line-up for the 2022 event is Platinum event sponsor, Amazon Web Services, who will offer attendees a look at AWS-powered twin cities, and how towns, regions and cities, can use cloud benefits, technology and support, to realise their local planning vision.

Hydrographers and all those with an interest in hydrography and related disciplines, are invited to attend a World Hydrography Day 2023 Seminar in Suva, Fiji, on 22 and 23 June.
The seminar will be held jointly by the Australasian Hydrographic Society and the Fiji Hydrographic Service. The venue will be the Moana Anglican Services and Teaching Centre at St John the Baptist Theological College.

The theme for World Hydrography Day 2023 is ‘Hydrography: Contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade’.
The seminar comes after a two-year pause due to the COVID pandemic and associated travel restrictions. It will provide an opportunity for professionals to network and share hydrospatial knowledge through presentations and discussion.
It is also intended that the presentations will highlight the empowerment of women within the hydrography field.
Registration is free but places are limited. Registrations must be secured by close of business, Tuesday, 20 June 2023.
GeoSmart India returns in 2023 for its 23rd iteration, with a theme of ‘Geospatial Infrastructure and Digital Twins: Powering National Economy’.
This year, the focus will be on strengthening India’s ambition of becoming a trillion-dollar economy. Geospatial infrastructure and digital twins will play a pivotal role in empowering the nation’s economy, enabling measurement of what can be seen in order to make better decisions across all major sectors.
The 2023 ACT Geospatial Conference and Excellence Awards will bring together colleagues old and new to hear the latest updates from across the local geospatial industry.
The call for abstracts for the event is now open. Any topic of interest to the geospatial industry is welcome, including surveying (cadastral, engineering, hydrographic, mining), GIS, remote sensing and geodesy, or broader topics such as new technology, diversity and workforce management.
The deadline for submission of abstract proposals closes at midday on Tuesday, 3 October.
The Geospatial Excellence Awards Reception will be held at the conclusion of the conference sessions, giving attendees the chance to enjoy drinks and canapes whilst networking and celebrating the award winners.

The Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS) Mudgee Regional Seminar will be held at Parklands Resort, Mudgee, NSW, on 22 March 2024. There will also be an optional dinner at a local brewery the evening prior.
