FARO 3D TECHNOLOGY SEMINAR AUSTRALIA 2019 – Melbourne @ Pan Pacific Melbourne
Sep 3 all-day
FARO 3D TECHNOLOGY SEMINAR AUSTRALIA 2019 - Melbourne @ Pan Pacific Melbourne

The FARO 3D Technology Seminar is series of seminars that is a spin-off from the FARO 3D User Conference, the latter being a leading event for the B2B 3D laser scanning community in Asia Pacific. In 2019, following the FARO 3D User Conference to be held in China in July, FARO is also hosting these Technology Seminars in Australia, India, and Japan.

As digital technologies have become all-pervasive, companies have been exploring ways to realize the potential of digitization globally. The geospatial community is not new to digitization, and similarly, it has been driven to evaluate the effectiveness of maximizing the efficiencies of digitization.

Responding to the industry’s needs, the upcoming FARO 3D Technology Seminars will be centred around the theme of ‘Constructing a Digital Future’, where the community will come together to look at further integrating digitization into its workflows.

In the same vein, FARO is also looking to bridge the physical and digital divide, by creating greater efficiencies in the construction lifecycle of ‘Design, Build, and Operate’. The FARO Traceable Construction™ concept is an ecosystem of FARO products and solutions that enable AEC professionals to work within an informed construction lifecycle environment. Offering a seamless transition across stages where reality data is needed, Traceable Construction™ matches each need with a product from FARO’s suite of solutions.

The FARO 3D Technology Seminar is yet another avenue where FARO strives to share expertise, applications and know-how with the geospatial community, and to create networking as well as business opportunities for delegates attending. Delegates can look forward to gaining deeper insight on FARO solutions through presentations and demonstrations by our technical experts. FARO looks forward to facilitating the development of valuable business relationships and connecting 3D communities!

World of Drones Congress 2019 @ Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The largest drone congress in the Asia Pacific region returns to Brisbane on the 26th and 27th of September. With a focus on driving the drone industry through business and innovation, the World of Drones Congress (WoDC) connects drone leaders, businesses and academia with the latest industry developments, applications and policies.

This year’s theme Real Business and Opportunity in the Global Drone Economy will encompass six topics

  • Education

  • Airports & Critical Infrastructure

  • Emergency & Humanitarian

  • Safety

  • Property & Smart Cities

  • Land Use & Environmental

The congress’ program boosts comprehensive sessions with keynote and plenary speeches from domestic and international experts who will share the latest developments and applications in the UAV industry. To see all confirmed speakers for the congress, please visit https://www.worldofdrones.com.au/speaker.

Furthermore, the WoDC will hold the 3rd National Drone Safety Forum and the 2nd National Drone Defence Industries Forum. Both forums form integral events within the World of Drones Congress’ program.

If you are interested in a particular topic or are not able to attend the full congress, Day and Half-day registration options are still available.

A Congress for All

This year the World of Drones Congress is introducing the Startup Hub targeted to entrepreneurs, startups and new businesses, where each can demonstrate how innovative technologies enhance Real Business and Opportunity in the Global Drone Economy. The Startup Hub will be located inside the DroneExpo.

The DroneExpo will feature more than 30 exhibitors from across Asia, Europe and the Pacific showcasing the latest on drone technology and innovative applications.

Attractively priced sponsorship packages and exhibition opportunities at the DroneExpo and Startup Hub are still available. Emailsponsor@ccm.com.au for more information and a copy of the Sponsorship and Exhibition Prospectus.

WoDC 2019 will also host the Drones Enhancing Work Safety warm-up workshop, run by the Queensland Government’s Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Office of Industrial Relations. Case studies will be presented by businesses using drones to eliminate or mitigate work health and safety hazards and risks. Attendees will learn how drone technology can reduce risks for workers and improve business productivity.

Additionally, Carys Kaiser, trainer, drone pilot, TV producer-director and camera operator will offer the exclusive How to get the best out of your drone camera masterclass.  This masterclass, through case studies, practical hands on work and discussion, will give attendees tips, tricks and industry insights to help showcase their drone camera skills and what content has a higher chance of engaging audiences and potential clients, and the options available for settings on drone cameras.

Drone Rescue ExerciseAs previous years, the World of Drones Congress will offer attendees the opportunity to watch a drone rescue demonstration on the last day of the congress. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) will stage a simulated rescue demonstration at a car crush using a drone. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get familiar with drone lifesaving operations.

Design a Drone Workshop

Queensland students will have the opportunity to flex their creativity in the hotspot of drone innovation. The World of Drones Education in conjunction with HackathonsAustralia and the World of Drones Congress are hosting the Design a Drone Workshop for local students to design solutions around the Congress’ themes and topics such as the Environment, Safety, Emergency and Humanitarian, just to name a few.

The purpose of this workshop is to give students an opportunity to meet those who work in the drone industry and to solve real world problems with the use of drones. Prizes include the DJI Tello Droneswhich will be given to each student on the winning teams for the best design and the best concept.

Don’t miss the opportunity to connect, collaborate and co-create with domestic and international UAV business representatives, drone pilots, manufacturers, application developers, researchers and more at the World of Drones Congress. See you in September!
