Andrew Perry has been elected as the new President of Survey and Spatial New Zealand (S+SNZ). The election took place at the recent S+SNZ 2022 annual general meeting.

Perry has been heavily involved with S+SNZ throughout his career, as a student member while at university, as a Wellington Branch executive member, and as a founding member and President of the Young Professionals Group.

Since moving to Tauranga, Perry has been an executive member of the Rotorua/Bay of Plenty Branch and was appointed Branch Chair in 2017, a position he held until March 2021. He was elected to the S+SNZ Council in January 2020 and has served on the Council through to appointment as Vice President, and now as President.

“I look forward to serving our members over the next couple of years as President and carrying on the great work led by our outgoing President Kathryn Salm,” said Perry.

S+SNZ has also welcomed two new Council members, Nicki Shaw, the new Young Professionals representative, and Mike Stott, the new CSNZ representative.
