The commercial use of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) is growing at a significant rate, with a doubling of the commercial UAV industry in Australia in just the past 8 months, with predictions for further growth to come. The technology is developing equally fast and the benefits of using UAV significantly outweigh the current barriers of entry into the market.
Unmanned aerial systems are enabling more opportunities for companies to operate efficiently, with greater scope to reduce cost and improve safety at the same time. But data integration and system interoperability have a vital role in the long term effectiveness – not only from a technical perspective, but a strategic one as well. From file compatibility to model analysis, continuous improvement will ensure UAS operations remain adaptable and reliable.
IQPC is therefore running the 2nd Annual Commercial UAV event on 27 – 28 October 2015 in Brisbane. Based on the success of the first event last October and the rapid developments in the industry, this year’s event will focus on the following key issues:
- Achieving effective integration to improve data collection, collation and utilisation
- Keeping abreast of the fast moving technology market to maximise ROI
- Complying with current regulations and training requirements
- How will the regulatory environment change
- What impact does the black market have on the commercial UAV industry and usage
By attending the event professionals from industries such as mining, civil construction, defence & border security, energy, oil & gas, telcos, emergency services and engineering will be able to learn how to choose the most suitable UAV for their organisation’s needs, understand how to integrate UAV into their existing systems and how to make the most of the data collected by the sensors and cameras on the UAV.
