VisionMap has announced two new products, extending the family of the A3 camera and automatic processing system.
The A3 Edge is a new premium camera that boasts the largest footprint in the industry. With 80,000 pixels across track, VisionMap claim that its footprint is 4 times larger than other vendors’ cameras. Using new generation CCDs and electronics, A3 Edge collects even more area per hour, and in better resolution than the previous A3 camera, providing colourful sharp imagery for large area mapping applications.
Another new product is an entry level large-format camera, the A3 Core, which was designed with traditional survey aircraft in mind. A3 Core’s 40,000 across track pixel footprint and 300mm optics are suitable for survey aircraft such as: Cessna 402, Piper PA-31 Navajo, AN-2, Y-5 and similar platforms. The A3 Core was designed to allow customers to upgrade to A3 or A3 Edge as their requirements evolve.
All the cameras in the A3 family are coupled with the A3 LightSpeed end-to-end automated photogrammetric processing system. A3 LightSpeed is capable of processing outputs 2-5 times faster than the former versions. A3 LightSpeed processing system automatically processes hundreds to thousands of square kilometres of A3 camera imagery per day for various mapping applications.
The system is also designed to support rapid response applications since it is capable of providing accurate products within a short time line without relying on DGPS stations, ground control points or existing DEMs.
VisionMap will be presenting its existing and new products at INTERGEO, in Nuremberg on 27-29 in September, Hall 7 Booth C-68.
