As you can probably tell from reading this article, the Spatial Source website does not currently take advantage of modern web design capabilities. But from later this month, this will no longer be the case. Spatial Source’s rising popularity and performance on Google has long outgrown its current façade and we now have the opportunity to capatilise on the latest developments in online media. Therefore, Position magazine’s daily news site, Spatial Source, will be undergoing a significant redevelopment (see sneak peek above).

Users can expect to see a sleeker user interface with greater mobile responsiveness. The new site will also allow for a more enjoyable and engaging reading experience and support the consumption of longer articles and high-quality journalism. Multimedia capabilities will also be greatly improved with increased use of video, imagery and web maps.

On the back of this we are also looking to reshape the way we acquire and share news by becoming more involved with the individuals that shape our profession. This will include comment articles, Q&As and consultation with stakeholders in the surveying and spatial community. If you would like to be involved, or if you have any editorial inquires at all,  please contact Anthony Wallace, Editor, awallace@intermedia.com.au.

The changes will also give rise to new advertising opportunities, including video and native advertising. For any advertising inquiries, please contact National Sales Manager, Nicola Scarf, nscarf@intermedia.com.au.

For premium subscribers, the tender service and priority newsletter access will continue as normal.
