With the 10th Digital Earth Summit / Locate26 Conference now only a month away, it’s time to book your Workshop experience.
Bookings are now open for the 10th Digital Earth Summit / Locate26 Conference workshop program.
Workshop access is included in all full conference registrations, but places are necessarily limited and it’s on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Workshops places can be selected and booked during the registration process.
The Workshops will be held on Tuesday, 24 November, the day before the conference proper begins.
This year there are four Workshops on offer, covering some of the most important topics trending in the geospatial sector.
Workshop A: Geospatial AI in action; from organisational opportunity to real-world application.
Designed for professionals across government, industry and research, this workshop will examine the opportunities, challenges and considerations associated with adopting geospatial AI within an organisational setting, and explore how location intelligence and AI can work together to help organisations move beyond experimentation and towards practical implementation.
Participants will learn how trusted data, governance and operational processes influence successful outcomes while considering how similar approaches could apply within their own environment.
Workshop B: FME Accelerator Workshop | GDV Hub | VertiGIS solutions
This interactive workshop is designed to help organisations unlock greater value from their data through automation, governance, and spatial intelligence. It is ideally suited to those looking to streamline workflows, improve data quality, or enable better decision-making.
The FME Accelerator Workshop will show how FME can automate data integration, eliminate manual processes, and connect systems across an organisation. The GDV Hub Workshop will demonstrate how organisations can validate, govern, and maintain trusted data at scale. And the VertiGIS solutions component will showcase technologies that can help organisations visualise, manage and share critical information.
Workshop C: Cloud-native geospatial for Earth observation
Through this workshop, participants will gain hands-on experience and insights into how cloud-native geospatial technologies have significantly enhanced the ability to access and analyse large volumes of Earth observation data, and acquire the practical knowledge needed to further develop their skills in this field.
The workshop is designed for Earth observation professionals, researchers, data scientists, and students who are interested in enhancing their skills in EO data analysis using cloud-native technologies; prior experience with or the ability to understand Python will be of benefit.
Workshop D: Innovations and efficiencies of Open Spatial Cloud GIS
This workshop will show how Open Spatial’s Cloud, a modern enterprise grade solution based on open-source technologies and standards, delivers effective GIS capabilities through one integrated platform across desktop, web and mobile.
The start-to-finish overview of GIS workflows will consider user management, permissions, data publishing , multiuser editing, contexts (internal and public) and integrated mobile abilities. Attendees will be set up with a login for a trial of the web and mobile apps to try the system.
