Crossrail reaches Australia in nationwide series

Bentley’s will be bringing insights from London’s Crossrail project to Australian capital cities this month with their free half-day series, Advancing BIM Seminar Incorporating Crossrail’s Information Academy.

The United Kingdom’s Crossrail is a landmark project when it comes to the vision, strategy and progress toward the BIM implementation it has achieved across the project team and supply chain. More than half way through its 10 year construction program, the AU$30 billion project to build a world class railway, safely through effective partnerships, remains on time and on budget for completion in 2018.

Crossrail’s head of technical information, Malcolm Taylor will be in Australia to explain how Crossrail is successfully deploying BIM processes on its way to delivering one of the most impressive projects in the world. The series will look at how Crossrail utilised Bentley’s BIM Advancement Academy to help educate its staff and supply chain about BIM processes and prepare them for work on this landmark project.

The informative, half-day free event will hosted by Bentley Vice President ANZ, Brian Middleton. Registrations are now open for the following events:

  • Tuesday 15th March, Brisbane, Emporium Hotel
  • Thursday 17th March, Melbourne, Melbourne Cricket Ground
  • Tuesday 22nd March, Sydney, Museum of Sydney

Each half-day event begins at 08:30, sessions at 09:00, and refreshments are provided throughout the event.
