By on 6 September, 2011

Registrations are now open for the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Conference 2011! The SSSC2011 will be one of the largest and most important spatial events in Australasia.

Jointly run by the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors and the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI), this event will bring together the disciplines, sectors and user groups in an unprecedented all-of-industry event.

Spatial information and technology continue to develop as integral components of spatially-enabled enterprises. Consumers are continuously using more location-based services, and demanding greater innovation and enterprise.

Applications that use location based information are advancing rapidly. Nobody thinks twice about using interactive maps and services that use location as their basis – and the surveying and spatial sciences fields need to keep pace with demand.

Our field needs to keep growing and changing rapidly – which means new ideas, new people and new skills are constantly needed.

SSC2011 will be where the industry comes together to discuss the need for Innovation in Action – working smarter.

New Zealand has always had an innovative, hi-tech society that has excelled in the spatial sciences. Wellington, a compact, creative and innovative city, is the perfect host.

Early Bird registrations close September 16 and conference dinner tickets are limited. Also, make sure to take advantage of the extra conference workshops and activities.

The conference will be held at the Wellington Convention Centre, Wellington, New Zealand on 21-25 November, 2011.

Register now at www.sssc2011.org.
