At its annual general meeting on 3 November 2023, the members of Consulting Surveyors National unanimously supported rebranding the organisation as ‘Surveyors Australia’.

The organisation says that all surveying firms are welcome to join, including land surveying firms, engineering surveying firms and any organisations employing surveyors, such as civil engineering firms, local government and mining companies.

Research has shown that there is a huge shortfall of qualified surveyors right across the country, with the situation set to become worse unless action is taken.

“It is our goal to provide support for all surveyors across Australia as we continue to tackle the skills shortage,” says Craig Turner, the organisation’s President.
