The Future of Place Summit aims to be a day filled with critical discussion, knowledge sharing and networking around the intersection of people, place technology and data.
The event will focus on four themes:
- Designing for digital lifestyles — A new human-centred planning approach
- From precinct plans to development reality — The evolving digital and data DNA of urban growth
- Data-inspired discussions — Tapping into the real voice of the community
- Streets reimagined — The digital backbone for better experiences

The SSSI 2021 Victorian Surveying & Spatial Summit will be an opportunity for all Victorian surveying and spatial professionals to come together to learn, share and connect. The theme will be ‘Digital Transformation: Our Future’.
The one-day event will take place at the Novotel on Collins, Melbourne, and will be followed in the evening by the presentation of the Victorian Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards — the Awards celebrate the outstanding work being undertaken by individuals and organisations in the region.
Discounts are available for SSSI members and students. You can choose to register just for the Summit or select full registration which includes a ticket to APSEA-V event as well. Tickets for APSEA-V only (individual or full table of 8) are also available.
There will also be a pre-summit breakfast on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion, and organisers encourage potential participants to consider purchasing a ticket when registering for the Summit.
The International Cartographic Association (ICA) invites you to share your research, practice and experiences in cartography and GIScience at the 31st International Cartographic Conference (ICC 2023), to be held from 13 to 18 August 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference theme will be ‘Smart Cartography for Sustainable Development’.

GeoBuiz Summit is an annual international conference focused on the geospatial industry, which encompasses a range of technologies and applications related to mapping, location-based services, and spatial data analysis.
The summit brings together industry leaders, government representatives, experts, and innovators to discuss the latest trends and innovations in geospatial technology and applications.
The conference covers a range of topics, including geospatial infrastructure, mapping and surveying, satellite imagery and remote sensing, location-based services, smart cities and urban planning, and much more. The GeoBuiz Summit aims to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the geospatial industry and to showcase the latest developments in this exciting and rapidly evolving field.
The 9th International Conference on Cartography and GIS will take place in Nessebar, Bulgaria from 16 to 21 June 2024. The ICCGIS is a biannual conference that began in 2006 and has been held every two years since (except for 2020). In total, the Conference has attracted attendees from more than 60 countries and has published more than 700 scientific papers in its proceedings.
The aim of the conference is to collect knowledge and share experiences about the latest achievements in the field of cartography and GIS. Multiple parallel events will take place during the conference, including annual meetings of ICA commissions and a special ISDE plenary session. There will also be a Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction – Solutions and Innovations.
