The Future of Place Summit aims to be a day filled with critical discussion, knowledge sharing and networking around the intersection of people, place technology and data.
The event will focus on four themes:

The SSSI 2021 Victorian Surveying & Spatial Summit will be an opportunity for all Victorian surveying and spatial professionals to come together to learn, share and connect. The theme will be ‘Digital Transformation: Our Future’.
The one-day event will take place at the Novotel on Collins, Melbourne, and will be followed in the evening by the presentation of the Victorian Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards — the Awards celebrate the outstanding work being undertaken by individuals and organisations in the region.
Discounts are available for SSSI members and students. You can choose to register just for the Summit or select full registration which includes a ticket to APSEA-V event as well. Tickets for APSEA-V only (individual or full table of 8) are also available.
There will also be a pre-summit breakfast on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion, and organisers encourage potential participants to consider purchasing a ticket when registering for the Summit.
Smart Cities Week Australia and New Zealand 2022 will bring together the who’s-who in smart cities, digital twins and future-of-place thought leadership in an energising, open dialogue on how to leverage technology to deliver better quality of life for citizens.
Smart Cities Week offers sessions designed to bring demand and supply side stakeholders together in a way that incubates business opportunities and incubates the smart cities investment pipeline.
This year, the event will be delivered in conjunction with Digital Twin Week, known as the premier platform for showcasing, exchanging and networking around all things Digital Twin in the built and natural environment. The event will offer a series of opportunities to connect and gain information and insights on Digital Twin activity, policy and practice from government and industry leaders.

The Geospatial Council of Australia invites industry members to participate in the special South Australian Geospatial Excellence Awards reception on Friday, 27 October 2023, in the Riverbank Rooms at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
With no Spatial Information Day this year due to Locate23 being held in Adelaide, this event will be held to announce the 2023 South Australia award winners, whilst also showcasing some of last year’s incredible winning projects.
The evening will be an opportunity for networking with colleagues old and new, and for celebration of the local geospatial industry.
