The AEGC petroleum, mineral and water resource industry conference, incorporating the ASEG-PESA International Geophysical Conference and Exhibition, will be jointly hosted by the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG), Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) and Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA).
Under the conference theme of Geoscience for a Sustainable World, the AEGC will attract a large number of international and national delegates and organisations from across the spectrum of Australasian geosciences, representing industry, government and academia. Locate22 returns to the Nation’s Capital in the traditional format of a live event at the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC). With the ability to be COVID safe, within a socially distanced environment, the NCCC is the perfect venue for Australia’s premier spatial and surveying conference. Canberra brings an incomparable setting with iconic national attractions surrounding Lake Burley Griffin and the Parliamentary Triangle.
This year Locate22 will incorporate dedicated streams into the format of the conference. This will enable focused discussion from across industry sectors on how location technologies and practices are being used, highlighting the fundamental role they play in shaping Australia’s future.
Industry, government, non-profit and academics are demanding new opportunities for innovation, efficiency and improved responsiveness, particularly in location-based information. LOCATE 22
The International Cartographic Association (ICA) invites you to share your research, practice and experiences in cartography and GIScience at the 31st International Cartographic Conference (ICC 2023), to be held from 13 to 18 August 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference theme will be ‘Smart Cartography for Sustainable Development’.

- 12 December 2022 – Submission of abstracts closes
- February 2023 – Conference registration opens
- 28 February 2023 – Notification of acceptance
- 8 May 2023 – Submission of revised abstracts and papers

The 9th International Conference on Cartography and GIS will take place in Nessebar, Bulgaria from 16 to 21 June 2024. The ICCGIS is a biannual conference that began in 2006 and has been held every two years since (except for 2020). In total, the Conference has attracted attendees from more than 60 countries and has published more than 700 scientific papers in its proceedings.
The aim of the conference is to collect knowledge and share experiences about the latest achievements in the field of cartography and GIS. Multiple parallel events will take place during the conference, including annual meetings of ICA commissions and a special ISDE plenary session. There will also be a Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction – Solutions and Innovations.
