Supported by the Australian Space Agency, the South Australian Space Industry Centre and SmartSat CRC, the 12th Australian Space Forum will provide an opportunity to stimulate ideas, share information about emerging technologies and network with space sector leaders and the broader community.
Participants will be able to attend in-person at the Adelaide Convention Centre in South Australia, or virtually through the event’s global interactive platform.
Forum sessions will include international panels covering the following thematic areas:
- National and international space trends
- Moving from cubesats to larger satellites — building Australian expertise and capability
- Reimagining the social, environmental and economic opportunities enabled by Earth observation technologies
- On-Earth and off-Earth remote operations, in the context of human exploration as well as applications right here on Earth
The Space & Geospatial Collaborative Workshop will be jointly hosted by the Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute in Adelaide the day following the 12th Australian Space Forum and the day before Spatial Information Day.
This inter-disciplinary workshop will provide a unique opportunity for professionals from both space and spatial sectors to:
- Learn about Australia’s renewed commitment to space technology development
- Get updates on the requirements and capabilities of the modern spatial information industry using applications such as PNT (positioning, navigation and timing), EO (Earth Observation) and telecommunications
- Connect and discuss the increasing synergy and collaborative opportunities between the two sectors.

Smart Cities Week Australia and New Zealand 2022 will bring together the who’s-who in smart cities, digital twins and future-of-place thought leadership in an energising, open dialogue on how to leverage technology to deliver better quality of life for citizens.
Smart Cities Week offers sessions designed to bring demand and supply side stakeholders together in a way that incubates business opportunities and incubates the smart cities investment pipeline.
This year, the event will be delivered in conjunction with Digital Twin Week, known as the premier platform for showcasing, exchanging and networking around all things Digital Twin in the built and natural environment. The event will offer a series of opportunities to connect and gain information and insights on Digital Twin activity, policy and practice from government and industry leaders.

This inter-disciplinary workshop will provide an opportunity for professionals from both space and spatial sectors to connect and discuss the increasing synergy and collaborative opportunities that have resulted from Australia’s renewed commitment to space technology development and the requirements and capabilities of the modern spatial information industry. The spatial professional has been an enduring end-user of space applications such as PNT (positioning, navigation and timing), EO (Earth observation) and telecommunications.
RPAS in Australia Skies is back for 2023. The conference is the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems’ (AAUS) main event for the year and has established itself as a landmark event for the Australian drone industry, drawing interest from key government personnel, representatives from the regulatory and safety bodies, defence force, RPAS and UTM representatives, end users and academia.
The hybrid event will take place over two days and will include a combination of presentations and interactive panel discussions.
The conference will cover:
- RPAS related policy and regulatory updates from Australian and international government agencies.
- UAS Traffic Management, low-level airspace and integrated airspace systems
- Industry challenges and perspectives
- Continuing development of a professional and safe industry.

Hydrographers and all those with an interest in hydrography and related disciplines, are invited to attend a World Hydrography Day 2023 Seminar in Suva, Fiji, on 22 and 23 June.
The seminar will be held jointly by the Australasian Hydrographic Society and the Fiji Hydrographic Service. The venue will be the Moana Anglican Services and Teaching Centre at St John the Baptist Theological College.

The theme for World Hydrography Day 2023 is ‘Hydrography: Contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade’.
The seminar comes after a two-year pause due to the COVID pandemic and associated travel restrictions. It will provide an opportunity for professionals to network and share hydrospatial knowledge through presentations and discussion.
It is also intended that the presentations will highlight the empowerment of women within the hydrography field.

The Remote Hydrography conference and exhibition brings together manufacturers, operators, regulators, and research and development leaders from both industry and academia, within the field of remote surveying and uncrewed survey operations.
Remote Hydrography 2024 provides an opportunity to share experience gained in the development and application of autonomous and uncrewed platforms (surface, underwater, aerial and space-based) and the associated command and support services.
These and enabling technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence will revolutionise workflows for hydrographic data collection, processing, analysis and presentation.
The ROTORTECH Helicopter and Uncrewed Flight Exposition is the premier industry event for the Helicopter/Rotary Wing and RPAS/UAV/eVTOL community in Australia, New Zealand and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
Held by AMDA Foundation with input from major industry supporter the Australian Helicopter Industry Association, ROTORTECH 2024 will provide a vital interface between industry, regulators and government, including:
