By on 5 April, 2011

Cadcorp, the UK based developer and supplier of GIS and web mapping software, gave its business partners a preview of the next release of SIS 7 software, at its International Partner Conference held in Amsterdam earlier this month.

The new update brings a completely redesigned user interface for its desktop GIS products, GIS products, Map Modeller, Map Editor, Map Manager, Map Viewer, Map Reader and Map Browser.

Also shown at the conference were the company’s new web mapping and web GIS applications, Web Map Layers, and Web Map Express. They are designed for both public and corporate use. Corporate users requiring an intranet-based mapping tool, were also shown their new Web Map Viewer & Editor.

Also coming in the software update are new applications for hot-spot mapping and INSPIRE-compliant metadata management.

Cadcorp SIS 7.1 will be released in May.
