UN sponsored permanent committee on GIS infrastructure for Asia and the pacific (PCGIAP)-wg3 and centre for SDIs and Land Administration (CSDILA) jointly present:
 
Beyond Spatial Enablement.
The 4th land administration forum collaborative research workshops and ten year celebration for the CSDILA.
 
This event will discuss trends, strategies and a vision for a spatially enabled future, mapping, SDI and land administration strategies to facilitate spatially enabled government. It will also examine progress to date and consider worldwide challenges and new initiatives that the UN and member countries are implementing, and that support spatially enabled government and society. The participants will be the key stakeholders and decision makers in the inter-related fields of land and spatial information.
 
The objectives of the event are:
  • To discuss mapping, spatial information, SDI and land administration strategies to facilitate spatially enabled government;
  • To share land administration experiences in the Asia and Pacific region with a focus on delivering spatial enablement;
  • To share land administration experiences in the Asia and Pacific with a focus on national land administration and 3D cadastre to support e-government;
  • To discuss the role of land administration and mapping agencies in developing the vision for “beyond spatial enablement”.
