Very Spatial tells us of a new web series that should be of interest to geo-types: MinuteEarth. Brought to you by the same folks behind MinutePhysics, the first episode of MinuteEarth delivers a succinct history of our planet.
Spatial Law & Policy has an interesting post that draws attention to the media’s role in protecting individual’s privacy – in this particular example, an interviewee for an article was concerned that a photo of his house was available on StreetView, yet, by sitting for the article, his full name, his city, street, and neighbourhood, his leadership position, and a blurred image of a home with a beautiful yard, fronted by a small brick wall and a paved driveway, were all shown online.
Google Maps Mania highlights a fun game based in StreetView, called Pursued, where you are plonked in an unknown location, and have to guess where it is. Surprisingly fun, actually.
