Nominations are now open for Bentley’s 2021 Going Digital Awards, which include strong geospatial and smart cities components in the digital cities category.
The digital cities category aims to recognise projects that “demonstrate excellence and digital advancements in planning and operations, or projects that leverage reality modelling, geospatial, city-scale digital twins, modelling, simulation and analysis, or project delivery at a city or campus scale”.
Competition criteria include:
- Bentley technology (alone or in combination with other software) must have been used to plan, design, model, build, survey, map, manage or operate public infrastructure.
- For digital cities, entries should include digital workflows associated to critical infrastructure, cadastral mapping, 3D/4D city- or campus-scale models (digital twins), and other geospatial workflows.
- City- or campus-scale project delivery submissions should include discipline-specific engineering and BIM process adoption.
- Submissions must demonstrate a combination of technical innovation, good project management, collaborative workflows, tangible benefits to public infrastructure and the environment and a clear return on investment.
The deadline for nominations is May 21.
