MAGNET Office software is used by surveyors across Australia and New Zealand.

Aptella (formerly known as Position Partners) has announced the acquisition of New Zealand firm Hale & Associates.

Aptella, which distributes MAGNET survey software throughout Australia, will now offer service and support for the platform across New Zealand, including access to a wider support network and fast response times to customer enquiries.

NZ Traverse will continue to be supported by the company’s New Zealand business, based in Auckland. Designed to assist New Zealand surveyors to compute and control cadastral data effectively, NZ Traverse includes comprehensive checking and reporting on the accuracy of data, to meet cadastral survey rules. It is fully compliant with Landonline.

“Our team has a unique capability to support New Zealand MAGNET and NZ Traverse customers through the combined expertise of our Australian and New Zealand businesses,” said Alex Felgate, New Zealand General Manager at Aptella.

Customers can now access a dedicated survey software support team, with a hotline and email ticketing system that guarantees a response within 30 minutes between the hours of 9:30am to 9:00pm New Zealand time.

Aptella’s network of experienced surveying and software experts includes representatives throughout Australia’s west and east coast, as well as New Zealand.

“We will continue to support customers throughout the region and advocate on their behalf with Topcon’s software development team to continuously refine and improve the solution,” said Adam Burke, Geospatial Business Executive Manager at Aptella.

“Our team has worked with the software since its earliest releases as CivilDes and later Civlcad, before becoming MAGNET in 2013.”

Aptella will host MAGNET Office workshops in Auckland and Tauranga in early April, covering the latest workflows, features and benefits, and offering an opportunity to meet the Aptella team.

“I look forward to meeting our customers in New Zealand and discussing how we can best support their businesses into the future,” said Burke.
