Aero3Dpro Australian launch: Your world in true 3D

By on 23 October, 2012

This 3D mapping service models real world environments including high-density urban, landscapes, gardens, suburbs and infrastructure in high-fidelity 3D geometry. It offers users of mapping and CAD data unprecedented detail for modeling the real-world, and complete flexibility of viewpoint.

Aero3Dpro is capturing an extremely rich environment. Not just simple 3D objects such as buildings, it in fact captures all stationary objects which can be extracted from the collected imagery.

This 3D data doesn’t just look real…it is real.

The end-to-end system has been developed in Adelaide by Aerometrex, a local mapping company which has worked with most of the mapping industry heavyweights including Google Earth.

The aero3Dpro system accepts images taken from all viewpoints (aerial and terrestrial) and uses them to generate 3D models. These include aerial imagery from aircraft, helicopters and UAVs as well as street-level imagery.

Extremely dense 3D point clouds are generated prior to being transformed into a fully-textured mesh object. To generate geographically accurate data, precise ground control points are integrated into our processing chain.

The unprecedented complexity, detail and accuracy contained in aero3D models, combined with the ability to interact with and extract real 3D information in both natural and built environments, provides a valuable resource for many industries.

In addition to the 3D model itself, aero3Dpro offers a range of value-added products and services such as High-Definition and 3D Stereoscopic flythrough, unprecedented shadow and line of sight analysis, a unique real-time 3D GIS and navigation tools.

With aero3Dpro, you will gain access to real 3D information.
