2021 EISSI Awards winners announced

The winners of the 2021 NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards have been officially announced.

The Awards are presented every year by the Institution of Surveyors NSW and the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW. The awards are sponsored by a wide range of companies and organisations, the full list of which can be found here.

Now in their 23rd year, the Awards recognise the achievements of organisations and individuals from across NSW who are engaged in the surveying and spatial information profession.

This year’s winners are:

Sir Thomas Mitchell Award (for the best overall project): ‘Cadastral Surveying – It’s Not Always About Millimetres; the Art versus Science Often Comes Into Play’ — LandTeam Australia Pty Limited: Gregory Goodman and Paul Davis-Raiss

Infrastructure & Construction:

Winner: ‘Initial Sealing of the Silver City and Cobb Highways’ — Casey Surveying and Design Pty Ltd: Thomas Casey, Matthew Parker and Caleb Allen

Winner: ‘Crown Hotel Resort Sydney’ — CMS Surveyors: Andrew Cummins

Extra Dimension & Innovation: ‘Lachlan’s Line Pedestrian Bridge’ — CMS Surveyors: Chris Larmour, Felix Zhu and Stacy Mitchell

Community & People: ‘Surveying & Bushfire Recovery’ — ICD Asia Pacific Pty Ltd: Peter Howie

Rural Cadastral Surveying & Land Titling:

Winner: ‘Cadastral Surveying – It’s Not Always About Millimetres; the Art versus Science Often Comes Into Play’ — LandTeam Australia Pty Limited: Gregory Goodman and Paul Davis-Raiss
