Sydney-based GIS specialist firm Rüppells Griffon has announced the appointment of Daniela Hudson as the new national business development executive. Hudson is expected to strengthen Rüppells Griffon’s position in the local market and help it to crack into untapped verticals.

Ms Hudson will be responsible for driving sales and finding new channels and markets for Rüppel’s Griffon’s range of specialist services and products, with an emphasis on financial services, retail and planning.

Rüppel’s Griffon’s co-founder and director, Ana Ouriques, said, “Daniela is a wonderful addition to the team. She brings with her a wealth of sales and business development experience across a range of verticals, which will be a great asset for helping the company penetrate untapped markets.”

Ms Hudson has nine years of experience in the financial services and architectural sectors, and most recently worked as business development sales executive for American Express based in Sydney. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a clear talent for identifying business trends and opportunities, driving client acquisition and exceeding sales targets.

“I’m excited to join a company with such a unique and powerful business offering,” said Ms Hudson. “It’s a heady time for the location intelligence space, as businesses are only just discovering how it can be used to save money and make better and more informed decisions. I’m looking forward to helping Rüppells Griffon grow as a company and become the go-to geospatial experts in Australia.”

Since launching just eight months ago, Sydney-based Rüppells Griffon has tripled in size. Rüppells Griffon is a geospatial services provider combining location intelligence with the latest in data visualisation technology and GIS solutions to assist decision making, data collection, cartography, data analysis, 3D modelling and web mapping.

Ruppels Griffon’s community mapping tool, Community Notes, will be covered in a feature article in the July/July issue of Position magazine.
