whereNSW Camp

By on 13 April, 2011

The whereNSW camp will be an informal, barcamp-style event to enable more informal and dynamic input into the development of the NSW Location Intelligence Strategy.

WHEN: 2011-06-04 to 2011-06-04
WHERE: UNSW CBD Campus, O’Connel St, Sydney
STATE: NSW
COUNTRY: AUS

The whereNSW camp will be an informal, ‘barcamp’-style event to enable more informal and dynamic input into the development of the NSW Location Intelligence Strategy to complement the more conventional consultative processes.

The Camp, hosted by LPMA NSW, will be a hybrid event, featuring some short presentations at the beginning of the day to set the context, leading into unstructured participant-driven sessions and finishing with a summary of discussions. Thevenue for the Camp will be the University of NSW CBD Campus in O'Connell St, Sydney.

More information will be available in the lead-up to the event, but in the meantime we'd like to encourage you to suggest some ideas on the whereNSW Idea Generator – these themes will form the basis of the day's discussions:
  • Anything and everything Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI)
  • Data discovery, collection and sharing
  • Data and service management and custodianship
  • Citizen involvement
  • Location Intelligence for better policy and decision-making
  • Education and awareness
  • Platforms, apps and services
  • Communicating Location Intelligence
  • Organisational policies and participation methods
For any queries, don't hesitate to contact the organising team at info@wherensw.net.au.
