13 May: Tender Code: DEWNR027387; Securing Low Flows On-Ground Trials 2015. Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources. South Australia.

This project is seeking Request for Proposals to procure the detailed design services and installation (works) of low flow solutions on privately owned properties with dams in the Mount Lofty Ranges region. These solutions aim to reinstate more natural flow patterns in South Australia’s Mount Lofty Ranges, particularly during periods of low flow, to keep the region’s catchments healthy.

The Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources in conjunction with the Adelaide and Mt Lofty Ranges and SA Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resource Management Boards are seeking a range of innovative solutions for passing low flows of water to measure the efficacy of such systems, any potential issues arising from their operation, as well as the hydrological and ecological outcomes of their implementation.

A briefing session will be held at 55-68 Hindmarsh Square (initial meeting location only before driving to regional trial sites), Adelaide at 28 April at 9:00 AM.

14 May: RFx ID: 11217157, Ref #: 545; Improving Access to Critical and Authoritative Building Information. Ministry of Business. New Zealand.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking information on possible and innovative solution approaches to a business need in the Building Systems Performance branch of MBIE (the regulator).

Currently, users (being practitioners) of the Building Code System have to navigate a variety of websites, search engines, helplines and forums to find the information they are looking for. Search engines and functionality on providers’ sites is variable – users often get a huge list of results rather than a refined set focussed on their search topic.

The desired future state is to provide a portal (a single point of access) with supporting processes and business rules whereby practitioners involved in the design and/or construction process and will be able to discover and access authoritative and current Building Code System resources, presented in the context of the overall Building Code System.

The key objectives of the study are to:

  • Collate and review existing data in the study area to enable determination of a list of possible alignments for the M7 to The Northern Road Motorway between Cecil Park and Luddenham
  • Identify any additional information required for the study
  • Undertake a documented assessment process to determine a short list of strategic design options to present to the community for consultation
  • Undertake a more detailed documented assessment process, including consideration of community feedback, to determine a preferred route for the M7 to The Northern Road Motorway
