17 September: 2013071; RailSys Modelling Specialist; Public Transport Authority, WA. PTA is seeking the services of a RailSys Modelling Specialist to assist in the operational evaluation of the current railway network and to test various future service scenarios. The work includes:

  • Completing the development of the PTA’s RailSys Model to enable static and dynamic simulation of services across the network, including the proposed rail links identified in the draft 20 year public transport plan; and
  • Undertaking modelling of various network and operational proposals of the Perth passenger railway network.

20 September: DOW2213; Water Demand and Supply Modelling System; Department of Water, WA. DoW seeks tenders for a new water demand and supply model to support its water supply planning function. The model is required to bring together data related to current water use, current water supply, economic growth and population forecasts to project future water demand and supply at multiple scales. DoW’s preference is for a commercial off-the-shelf solution with appropriate configuration and minimal customisation that meets the department’s business requirements.

20 September: RFt2013-4149; Onshore Seismic Data Acquisition and Services; Geoscience Australia. GA is seeking tenders. It plans to refresh its existing panel for onshore seismic data acquisition and related services, and seeks quotations, under the terms and conditions of the existing panel, to undertake these services for Eucla-Gawler; and South-eastern Mount Isa.

23 September: RFT2013/4038; Marine Vessel for Deployment of Ocean Bottom Seismometers; Geoscience Australia. GA is seeking tenders from a Contractor that can provide a vessel and crew with the capability in the deployment and recovery of Ocean Bottom Seismometers. In addition to this requirement, it seeks the manufacture of 42 concrete anchors to deploy the OBS as described in the accompanying Voyage Plan by the same Contractor. The intent is for the OBS to be deployed, then retrieved after a period of up to three months from deployment. The timing of this complete survey is critical, but Geoscience Australia is willing to review all offers as the length of deployed period could be varied. Ideally the OBS data acquisition period would commence from Mid-March 2014, but no later than May 2014.
