The focus for SSSC2013 is future innovation, new approaches, and improved methods.

This year’s pre-conference workshop program features: the very first UAV course; techniques of effective map making; and with a nod to the Centenary of Canberra, the history & heritage session will incorporate a field trip in the afternoon.

Expect to roll up your sleeves in carefully crafted, interactive sessions planned by 1Spatial, AURIN, Caris, and Intergraph.  Keep your eye on www.SSSC2013.org for developing agendas in Hydrography, GIS software and career planning.

The Conference Program is now nearly complete and features sessions focussing on the needs and interests of the Commissions:  Land Surveying; GIS; Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry; Hydrography; Energy & Mining; and Women in Spatial.  Additional streams focus on:  Defence issues; Geodesy-Special Theme – Next Generation Datum: and the role of spatial in Emergency management.

New developments will be exposed in sessions presented by AAM, Cardno, Fugro Spatial,  Intergraph, Pitney Bowes and University of SA.
