The Program Committee for QCON14 is seeking the submission of abstracts of presented and poster papers at the joint conference to be held in Cairns from 7th – 10th October 2014.

QCON14 is a unique platform for members of the Surveying and Spatial Community to network, share ideas and learn about innovations and industry advancements. The theme this year is: ‘Repositioning for a Sustainable Future’.

QCON14 incorporates the 17th Australasian Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Conference (ARSPC), the 6th Queensland Surveying & Spatial Conference (QSSC) and the LiDAR Technologies 2014 Conference.

QCON14 will look at how the Surveying and Spatial Sciences can help provide a balance of economic prosperity and environmental sustainability, while also examining the changing roles of our profession to ensure our own longevity.

The Program Panel is open to your interpretation of the theme, and encourages authors to submit papers on a variety of topics.

Abstracts should be no more than 200 words in length.  Deadline for Abstract submission is Monday 7th July 2014 (see above).  Authors may choose to have their papers refereed for publication.  Presenters will receive notification by email of the acceptance of their paper by Friday the 25thJuly 2014.

All refereed papers will be published on the SSSI website after the Conference.  If you would like the option of submitting your refereed paper to the Journal of Spatial Science for publication, you may use the JoSS Guidelines for Authors.

The EasyChair Conference Management Software is being used for the submission and management of Conference abstracts, papers, and presentations. Please click here to submit an abstract (You will need to open an EasyChair Account if you do not have an account).
