The New Zealand Institute of Surveyor’s annual conference has been scheduled two months earlier, and will occur in August of this year. The earlier date has been set to include the 50th Anniversary of the National School of Surveying.

“This year’s event will be an exciting and eventful joint celebration of 50 years of the survey school and 125 years of the Institute” says Andrew Stirling, NZIS President.

The conference, with the theme ‘Celebrating the Past – Redefining the Future’ will be held in Dunedin at the University of Otago, 28-31 August.

NZIS Coastal Otago Branch and the National School of Surveying are jointly hosting this event together celebrating 125 years of the Institute and 50 years of the National School of Surveying.

Early-bird registrations open 1 April 2013 and the conference organisers are currently inviting prospective sponsors and exhibitors to register their interest online and inviting paper Abstracts.

Registration and conference details are available on the NIZIS conference 2013 website.
