Nova Systems has signed strategic partnership with Earth observation satellite operator, Planet.

The companies say the deal aims to strengthen Australia’s access to advanced satellite imagery and space-based situational awareness intelligence capabilities.

In particular, they aim to support the Australian Defence Force and national intelligence community with enhanced situational awareness and improved monitoring of land and maritime environments.

This includes tracking infrastructure changes, assessing disaster impacts and improving decision-making.

It also represents a shift from periodic intelligence collection toward continual monitoring, enabling faster strategic warning and improved situational awareness in dynamic operational environments.
