New SSSI board confirmed in AGM at Spatial Information Day 2019

SSSI president Dr. Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse with 2019-2020 president-elect Paul Digney.

The Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute has announced its new board for 2019-2020, following its Annual General Meeting, held during the Spatial Information Day 2019 in Adelaide.

Dr. Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse was re-elected as President of SSSI Australia for 2019-2020 for a second term, and Paul Digney was confirmed as president-elect 2019-20.

New appointments included Nick Brown of Geoscience Australia, elected to fill a casual vacancy in the ACT; new director Michael Grear in South Australia, and Dr. Lesley Arnold from Western Australia.

Dr. Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse thanked the outgoing directors of the 2018-19 Board: Franco Rea from South Australia, Kerry Smyth from Western Australia and Richard Cullen of the Hydrography Commission.

Congratulating Board Members on their new positions, SSSI COO Anna Palathinkal also thanked outgoing members for their service to the board.
